Top Pig's Postcards from Perth (1st stamp)
Hey piglets!
just ta let u guys noe tt i received my presenter grades via email today and i got credits and distinctions. e executive producer seemed impressed with my on air persona and told me it was one:
Bright and lively presentation style – a smile in your voice and you sounded happy to be there. You showed a good sense of information the audience needed. Very good ownership of material – selling it to us the way you did whetted our appetite. Good forward promotion for what coming up.
Good desk work, especially for your first time. You weren’t scared to talk over fading tracks!
Loved the Mandarin track – especially with the extra effort put in to add vox pops from local fans – this worked so well. Enjoyed the track too!
...........................
SHE LIKED YUAN YOU HUI!!!!!!!! *Grinz Sheen!*
And i never thought it possible, but she actually acknowledged the fact that it took guts and initiative to score the interview with Evermore as she awarded me a Distinction for my interview with great comments on my technical process and feature structure (thank goodness! it wasn funny having to run back and forth covering the Pope story as well as interviewing Evermore!)
Onward and Upward!" Gail Philips, Exec. Producer, South Street Radio
Ok the sharing of my post production euphoria has come to a close.
And now its on to the more important issue i had in mind.
THANK YOU MY DEAR PIGGIES!!!!
To Martial Pig:
Thanks sweetie for being the official pigclan broadcaster of my program even b4 my program went on air. =) I didn expect anyone to know so it was very sweet to find out tt e piggies were informed of it and clamoured to show their support in different ways. Muack!
And thanks for being there with me through e... errmmmmm.. most awkward moments.. u r a doll!
To Lame Pig:
Hugz for calling me the night b4 broadcast to wish e luck, sooth my annoyance over certain matters and to tell me you would be listening online for it. Plus, a bigger hug for recording it so e piggies who had difficulty tuning in Live could have access to a "repeat telecast" LOL. cheers as well for msging me immediately after e program w ur sweet sentiments. That enabled me to know you were with me throughout my broadcast.
p/s: thought u should noe that Lame (pronounced as La-mae), is also a type of quality clothing material- once used on dresses for the French Aristocrats on gala events like their Debutante Balls.
To Fairy Pig:
Honey u were absolutely beautiful for making sure you heard every bit of my program live from beginning to the end. And it was marvellous to receive an sms from you as well (knowing we are struggling students when it comes to phone bills and "Live" support
It was nice to walk out of the studio into the evening sun while getting congrats from practically everyone i saw along the way, and having my phone beep with saccharine msges from u both all e way back in sg. huuuuggggggzzz!
and you will definitely get through this sem so chill babe, dun stress. just keep going at it! and work ur arse off while u are chuffing full steam ahead =)
To Dead pig:
Thanks sugar. =) You really showed it matters by turning up (even though u were supposed to be buried six feet under) to e piggy repeat telecast of the program. I was really touched to hear from our expensive clothed pig that you all had gathered in cozy McCafe for a meet up specially to listen to e recording. It doesn matter that Martial Pig's laptop died halfway.. i understand that having lived up in the mountains for so long to practise her "chi", it must not have been easy for our technologically savvy comrade to locate a power outlet for gadget recharging purposes. and thanks for calling me today. it was a very surreal moment speaking with you over the phone *winks*
To Zhu Ba Jie (we need an ang moh piggy name for you soon dun we?):
Ditto to you for appearing at McCafe! and i must say it was awesome to receive tt email u actuallly took time off to write. Now just make sure you take care of our chang-er now and dun try getting to her when the bridge has yet to be properly constructed. falling a few thousand feet to earth and ending up flat on the ground is not something i would classify as romantic. lol. Keep up with the spirit u show at work ok? m glad to noe u are picking up the paces now =)
To Hungry pig:
which buffet did u disappear to? *kidding* HUGZ.. i noe u have been very bz due to the circumstances u are now plunged into. I also noe u were one of those who wanted lame pig to do the recording when u couldn listen to it live. and tt thought was enough for me to know u do care. so just go do what u have to do first and stay e strong pig tt u always are (well u have to be coz with ur vociferous appetite, you are supposed to have more sustaining power than the rest of us!) But dun forget what your friends are here for along the way ok? and if you wan to listen to it through e internet juz go to e archived copy at this site:

It's under Manic Monday- Week Three
......................
Now with thanks, well wishes and salutations out of the way, allow me to whip out some Moet & Chandon for a bit of celebratory bubbly!
Cheers all piggies, be u scattered throughout SG or are stranded in other continents. With a common arena that is this pigsplog, we toast our years of friendship, official launch of this PLOG, and to more years of it ahead!
