This Christmas...
Having done a Kingsley Shacklebolt from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (male piggies who dunno who or what i'm talking about, what have u been doin?)and gotten through my work at half the time with double the efficiency (flips hair), I came to our piggie shrine and found.. well.. basically nothing..
except for a box of memories, once lovingly created, crafted and designed by fellow editors Lame Pig and Martial Pig; often taken in pride, browsed and perused over by the rest of the piggies for evening entertainment reading, distant bonding and much laughter.
a box of memories that is almost forgotten.
I believe in the value of this blog that everyone has helped to set up in one way or another, aided and assisted mostly by the afore-mentioned Lame Pig and Martial Pig. On a personal note, I have a special bias towards it because coming here allows me to reminisce the times we have had since JC. This blog charts our growth from crazy jc teens, to foreign voyages for higher education purposes TO all our major gatherings and our subsequent trajectories post-jc.
Above all, it marks our friendship of six years, with our history imprinted in the roving photos that Neo posted when readership and contributions were at their zenith.
I got a good giggle (almost injured my chest coz i can't laugh too loudly in the office) the other day looking through the hilarious bio-datas that so signify each and every piggy (they still do btw). It's always comforting in our very different lives now to know that some things dun change.
My eyes opened wide when i saw how different all of us looked 6 years back; and marveled at how amazing it was that the most of the people who attended the first KTV session in Serangoon Gardens are what makes up our pigclan today.
We have come a long way and I am really glad to have all of you by my side throughout this journey. This christmas, we celebrate our sixth year of friendship. Six years of fun, high-pitched laughter (who, me?) and many rounds of late-night sessions. So here's wishing everyone to many more years of friendship, crazy shrieking, camaraderie, ktv and good food (courtesy of Bryani most of the time) ;p
Cheers everyone. It has been good.
lots of love and bubbly,
Jessie
